Cause & Prevention The causes of female hair loss are many, but these instances of hair loss are usually temporary, according to some experts.
For instance, if you are a woman who is undergoing chemotherapy, there is a chance that you could start to lose your hair. On a positive note, however, this type of hair loss is generally a temporary phase.
If you are a female, you may also experience hair loss
stemming from a major bout of stress or as a result of a pregnancy. Again,
these instances of hair loss typically last for a limited period of time.
There are other instances where females may lose their hair. A malfunctioning
thyroid gland, one which is either underactive or overactive, could result
in your hair falling out if you're a woman. You should also note that
hair loss could be the direct result of taking certain medication. So
if you're taking prescribed medication and you start to notice hair loss,
you should contact your doctor to determine whether or not the medication
has such side effects.
