Clogging of the follicles

When the follicles are blocked the conditions are ripe for the growth of bacteria. This growth starts out as something called a microcomedone, which can either be a blackhead or a whitehead. A microcomedone becomes a blackhead when the follicles clog and bacteria combine and, reaching the surface of the skin, become black as a result to the skin's pigment. A microcomedone becomes a whitehead when the oil and bacteria fester beneath the skin's surface.

While blackheads and whiteheads differ in terms of where they occur, they are similar in that they both involve oil and bacteria combining to form what is commonly known as acne. As such, you can use the same products and supplies to cure both kinds of acne.

While some have frequently connected nutrition with acne-arguing that those who ate fatty or sweat foods were at a greater risk of getting acne-studies on this point have proved inconclusive. Until proof is found to prove that changing your diet can control your acne, you are advised by some experts not to even pay much attention to those who say avoiding fatty or sweat foods will have any impact on your condition.
